Lady Gaga Cosmo cover eyes

Here's my take on Lady Gaga's eye makeup on the cover of April's Cosmopoiltan

Excuse the messy eyebrows :)

First I used Urban Decay's eyeshadows in Nylon and Sellout all over the lid.
MAC's eyeshadow in Mulch in the crease and outer corners
MACS's eyeshadow in Shroom on the brow bone
MAC's eyeshadow in Meet the Fleet in outer corners on top of Mulch and then blend
MAC's eyeshadow in Carbon in the crease and outer corners
Sellout over the brow bone
MACS fluidline in Blacktrack
Benefit's Eye Bright on the waterline
Rimmel's Sexy Curves mascara
MAC's Zoom fast black lash mascara

-Oh and I would have added some fake lashes of course, but I didn't have any extra ones lying around :/

MAC Volcanic Ash

Last night, Ashley and I picked up the very last two in the MAC store of these babies. They're a limited edition product and from all the other reviews of this I've read, there are none left to be found. Not even on eBay...so I'm very glad we got the last two! It caught my eye when I was checking out...it was sitting on the Viva Glam display and I opened the top off, squeezed it out and was like WHAT THE??? It's this black gooey bumpy stuff that looks like oil sludge from a car, haha...it's different looking, especially for an exfoliator that you're supposed to put on your face to get clean. A lot of the other reviews were saying its disgusting looking and blah blah blah..I think it's awesome. It actually smells REALLY good and works REALLY good, too...I have dry skin and this made it super soft and I felt really clean after using it. It's fun to put on too..your face looks like you just fell face first into mud, so it's good for a laugh. At yourself or someone else laughing at you, either way :) It supposedly has real volcanic ash in it, which could be possible since it kinda stains black for a little till you rinse it off...and it has sugar crystals, which are THE best exfoliators in my opinion, that dissolve when you scrub your face. I tried it in the sink and in the shower, and I much prefer using it in the shower. It's just easier for me that way, so that's how I recommend using it. Anndddddd....it was ONLY $20! I hope they bring it back for ever, so the people who didn't get a chance to buy it will be able to. So those of you who purchased it, enjoy it and share it! I give it an A+

Lip Spackle by Laura Geller

I saw this in Kandee Johnson's videos on how to get flawless skin. My lips are naturally really red and ever since I've been wearing a makeup I've tried to find the most nude neutral light pink lipstick/gloss in the world, but none have really gave me exactly what I wanted. I hate having red lips, it just makes me look really pale I think, so I'm always sporting a nude-ish lip and I don't like lipgloss. Anyways, I'm pretty sure Kandee likes nude lips as well, I've seen enough of her videos to know, and she said the lip spackle is a great product. I have to agree with her. I got it at Sephora and it makes my lips almost blend in with the rest of my face, but still have a pinkish color to it,which is exactly what I want! It's in a cute little container and it's kind of a concealer brown-ish color. The product itself doesn't smell very good, but once its on your lips it doesn't smell like anything. I tried this pretty light pink lipgloss from Sephora over it and it looks really nice. It shows the true color of the gloss. I'll probably wear the lip spackle by itself most of the time. So it's good for wearing it alone or wearing it under lipstick or gloss and it lasts a long time. It's a little on the pricey side, but it's worth it and I definitely recommend it! :)

Purple

Here's a lovely purple look...I think it looks best on brown eyes.

Eyes:
UD Shadow Primer
UD shadow in Ecstasy all over lid
UD shadow in AC/DC on outer and inner corner of top lid
UD shadow in Sphynx in and above crease
UD 24/7 Liner in Zero
And as always, my trusty Cargo Texas Lash mascara

Face:
Loreal True Match foundation in Sun Beige (I recently tried this stuff since I've heard a couple good things about it and I love it. It blends really well and stays on all day and doesn't make me oily. Plus, it's only $10!)
NYC Translucent Powder (only $2)
Too Faced Bronzer

Nothing on my lips except some foundation

Outfit of the day 2

Green Eyes

The Book of Shadows comes with a cute little look book that uses the shadows in the palette, and there's a REALLY really pretty green smokey eyed look. I didn't try to recreate it, but it just made me want to try out my own. Unfortunately, the look book doesn't say how to do the look or even what colors they used so if you want to try to recreate it, you kinda have to guess on your own. That's my only complaint about the B.O.S II...kinda lame, but it's ok! I still love Urban Decay...

You'll have to excuse my red eyes...I need new contacts desperately! Here's what I used:

Eyes:
UD Eyeshadow Primer
Kat von D Gypsy shadow in Birdcage (inner lid)
UD shadow in Homegrown (middle lid)
UD shadow in Misdemeanor (outer lid and bottom lash line)
UD 24/7 liner in Zero on top and bottom
UD Eyelash Primer
Cargo mascara in Texas Lash top and bottom lashes

Lips:
MAC lipstick in Colour Crafted (one of my favorites!)

Face:
MUD cream foundation (from when I went to makeup school)
Too Faced Bronzer in Sun Bunny
Benefit boxed blush in Thrrrob

I also got these really cute earrings over the weekend at Space 15 Twenty. They were having some sort of sale thing with jewelry and vintage clothes.

The designers name is Louise Rose. I met her and she's really nice and cute and her accessories are amazing! Some of her stuff is on her website: www.LouiseRoseDesigns.com

I think there's only earrings and headbands up. I want one of the headbands...she has necklaces and bracelets and other things too, just not on her site. Really cute stuff, I can't get over it!

Haul Time

hi everyone, its ashley. i just wanted to share what i bought today at the mall. i know, hauls are pretty much people just showing off what they bought. but it could give people good ideas for gifts or just ideas for themselves. its not so much "showing off" but just like show and tell :)
So my first stop was of course Urban Decay. they recently put a little counter at our mall which i am extremely excited about. ive had to go all the way down to hollywood & highland to purchase urban stuff. anyways, i made friends with the guy who works there. his name is david and he's fab! i first went there looking for the Book of Shadows Vol 2 because theyre sold out on the website. He told me that Urban is discontinuing the book and some girl drove here 2 hours away just to get one! apparently theyre sold out in a lot of stores as well. so im really glad i got this, even if there wasnt 30% off. I bought a few more things so here we go...

Baked Bronzer in Toasted

Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner in Groupie

Grindhouse eye pencil sharpener, the detailing is so cute!
And i got this amazing set for spending over $100, it includes Midnight Cowboy heavy metal glitter eyeliner, Midnight Cowboy Rides Again eyeshadow, primer potion, and a 24/7 eyeliner in Bourbon
So after Urban i just got a few shirts. Gaga from hot topic, barbie from sidecca. The barbie one is so f-ing cute!!!
